Nuclear war is not survivable, but we may not even survive the damaged caused by our collapsing global nuclear power plant infrastructure.

Nuclear power plants built in the 1960s-1980s are suffering major structural breakdowns and the utilities and governments don't want to fix them because of the costs. 

So, everyone looks the other way and the nuclear power plants contaminate their environment with routine emissions and cataclysmic meltdowns.

The public is too ignorant or apathetic (or both) to stop this assault against the human genome.

But, it seems that the human race wants to speed up its annihilation.

The world is in the midst of a fit of exploitation and rage.

I've been writing about the escalating insanity among between Japan and China and Russia, with Japan being willing to stir the pot publicly.

The insanity in the Middle East is also escalating. Iran must be getting pretty uncomfortable as it watches the Middle East dominoes fall, from Egypt, to Libya, to Syria. 

[I'm not saying the CIA was solely responsible for those events because I know the region has always struggled with ethnic and religious tensions, which the colonists - France and England in particular - used to their advantage.

The CIA and the British intelligence agencies know the lessons well of using exerting influence on the development of chaos and the establishment of stability.]
  
Iran may see membership in the 'nuclear club' as its only refuge from destablizing external influences, particularly when it faces a discontented and youthful population bulge.

So, Iran seeks to build a nuclear weapon and the US and Israel seek to prevent it by bombing the facilities.

Bombing nuclear weapons facilities is not a good idea, especially for Israel, which happens to be located in close proximity to Iran.
      
Its not clear whether the Iranian facility was bombed, or how much was destroyed if it was indeed bombed.

It is clear, however, that humanity is destined by its actions to a nuclear war, whether anyone really wants one or not.

The cycle of violence cannot be stopped when escalating. Yet, the insanity of our leaders is such that they will not step back from the precipice.

It may be too late for us anyways. War may simply hasten our now-inevitable demise as genomic instability magnifies with the inter-generational transmission of radiation and chemically damaged chromosomes.

[Excerpted]  In late 2011, the plant at Fordow began producing uranium enriched to 20 percent fissile purity, compared with the 3.5 percent level needed for nuclear energy plants.

This higher level of enrichment represents a significant step towards the fissile concentration that would be needed in any attempt to build atomic bombs.

Iran says its nuclear program is entirely peaceful and aimed at producing electricity. It says it needs 20 percent uranium to fuel a medical research reactor in Tehran.

Several U.N. Security Council resolutions have ordered Iran to suspend all uranium enrichment. The Islamic Republic says it is its "right" under the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty to refine uranium to produce reactor fuel.

Iran has accused Israel and the United States of trying to sabotage its nuclear program through cyber attacks and the assassination of its nuclear scientists. Washington has denied any role in the killings, while Israel has declined to comment.

No government has taken responsibility for the Stuxnet computer virus that destroyed centrifuges at Iran's Natanz uranium enrichment facility in 2010, but it has been widely reported to have been a U.S.-Israeli project.

Israel, believed to be the Middle East's only nuclear-armed state, has hinted at possible military action against Iran if sanctions and diplomacy fail to resolve the nuclear stand-off.....
