TEPCO Plans to Inject Nitrogen to Prevent Blast at Unit 3

"The utility says it would be difficult to start work on injecting nitrogen gas needed to prevent a hydrogen blast into the containment vessel under such high radiation levels."

The bad news is that the radiation in building #3 is very high, making it difficult for workers.

#3 is the reactor that Gunderson was concerned about because the lack of water and the heat in the reactor could create a hydrogen explosion. Remember that Gunderson said in one of his previous videos that he believed the March explosion at #3 was the fuel pool, not the reactor.

The good news is that TEPCO is seeing relatively low levels of radiation in unit #2 building
